Hi I have purchased progressive lowering springs for a 1976 Fiat spider from an established Fiat parts supplier.
Stay with me…it’s not a Fiat question..
The rear springs have five tighter coils at one end.
My question is which way up?
The supplier thinks they go at the bottom.
The springs also came with a nylon woven sleeve that is long engough to slide over the first two coils..do you know what this is for (anti-squeak?) and which end should they be installed…thanks in advance for any help you can give me…pete

hi jesse.
i have a 95 geo hatchback that i want to juice up with better suspension and about 200-250 HP non-nitrous, preferably AWD. and before you lecture me i’ll just say that a fast geo is way funnier than a fast honda/whatever and is far more unexpected.
my options at the time are to find an eagle talon with AWD and swap all the crap out, or maybe a geo storm.
the other option i have been weighing is getting a JDM honda engine and swap car.
i want AWD, or at least LSD. but i am torn between which car to get parts from. i know the aftermarket is better for honda and there are plenty of cars to swap from, but what kind of engine should i get and from where? also does honda have any AWD cars to swap from?
furthermore what kind of price range should i expect to get a honda 4 cylinder to the 250 HP range non-cheating? and lastly will AWD give a noticeable difference to off-the-line boost over LSD?
thanks for you time and i hope to hear from you soon.

I”m a relatively new NASCAR fan, so forgive me if this seems to be an ignorant question. I”ve always been under the impression that once the caution comes out, drivers are required to maintain running order (not pass other drivers) until after restarting. However, I”ve noticed recently that some drivers pass each other. When is this allowed? Thanks for your help!

On Saturday 31 October, 2009 Phillipe took us on a lazy 60 kilometre loop of fantastic dust free single trail at Newnes. Along the way we managed to find the odd quarry with 15 foot step up, a decent jump and berms galore. A great day. …
